If you are an entrepreneur, you might not have given a thought to the question ‘What after I am gone?’ It is such a scary question and sounds like the end, doesn’t it?
What ran through your brain when you thought Steve Jobs retired from the role of the CEO of Apple? Were you scared about what is going to happen to Apple now. Alternately, did you think the next in line will bring out the best of Apple like Larry is doing (though it is a little too early to say) post Eric Schmidt era to Google.
When the leader is gone, there is a definite vacum that gets created. But if he was a true leader, the next-in-line should be better than him. Steve, we are going to miss you, and hope that Tim fills the vacum fast.
Side Note: When you are in solitude, its a nice debate to have – “When the leader is gone.”
